POSITION: Devices Strategy Manager
STATUS: Full Time – Permanent – with Benefits
SALARY: CAD  120-140K + Bonus
LOCATION: Brampton ON L6Y 0G4

EXPERIENCE: 7+ Years Experience Strategy and Product Management having P&L responsibility over a specific product category

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement product strategies for our internal products and services
Collect and analyze feedback from customers, internal stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products
Work with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps, including working with other internal teams and their offerings
Evaluate opportunities and offerings for their technical and product merit
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams
Work with team members to define user stories, break down work into achievable chunks, and evaluate alternatives and tradeoffs
Align our system architecture and specification needs with product roadmap
Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision
Suggest and execute methods to track product use and impact on end users
Drive efforts across teams and stakeholders including Sales, Sales Engineering, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Marketing and Operations to successfully launch product upgrades, new products and features
Handle internal and external global communications with regards to features, schedules, product capabilities, announcements, and releases
Develop core positioning and messaging for assigned products
Create product strategy outlining tiering, product differentiation and value proposition
Evaluate feature implementations before launch
Conduct and collect market research to identify market trends
Create business cases and market/product descriptions for new market and product opportunities; present cases to stakeholders for input and approval
Effectively present product plans, ideas, and designs to key stakeholders for feedback
Review technical specification in RFIs/RFPs and provide input to Sales
Develop product pricing strategy based on costs, market factors and competitive information
Maintain a product and feature roadmap for products, managing prioritization and capacity planning
Analyze and present hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and feature concepts
Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to develop documentation, sales tools and collateral
Provide technical demonstrations with Sales and deliver product demos to customers, prospects, and internal audiences
Coordinate with international product managers to create a unified product offering and apply local requirements and changes to the global core products

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or business
Significant experience in Engineering and Technical Support in lieu of hardware product management experience may substitute for some hardware product management experience
Experience in product management for system level offerings that include hardware and embedded software required
Demonstrated experience leading complex projects to successful outcomes
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Ability to clearly communicate and work well in cross-functional teams; excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint
Ability to write reports, create business presentations and product requirement documents (PRDs)
Contribute content to user manuals, marketing materials, internal and external training materials
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and stakeholders
Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Superior time management skills; proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
