Top Three Skills: Aircraft structural assembly experience, riveting, aircraft assembly blueprint reading
Job Description: looking to bring in (20 ) structural technicians to work on the wings. They will be working with representative troubleshooting functional snags on the wings (flaps and slats), spoilers and elevators. The mechanics will be installing bolts, washers, opening up holes and working of FTPs (flight test procedures). They will need to understand tolerances based off the use of torque wrenches, so as not to damage the bolts and equipment they will be installing. They will be installing hydraulic systems on the wings and ensure its proper functions.
Work Environment: Candidates will be working on site in Toronto (downsview). There are (12) hangars, referred to bays. They will be working along side over 500 contractors from various agencies ; the work environment is fast paced and each bay needs to be walked to (some you need to go outside and come back in through the side door). The environment is clean but there are tables and work pack teams all over the place.
Qualifications: Must haves:
- Minimum of 3 years experience with Aircraft structural experience (heavy maintenance or production)
- Own their own tools (basic structural tooling)
- Ability to read and interpret task cards and aircraft production plans
- Experience working under pressure
Good to have:
- Experience on private jets (Global 5000-6000), Challenger
- Experience on aircraft wings
