Job Description:

The Manager, Content Marketing will lead and manage content, CRM, email initiatives across Spin Master’s portfolio of brands. As the owner of the direct-to-consumer content strategy, this candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of how consumers interact with various channels, technology and brand. He/she will also be tasked with developing the most effective CRM implementation to keep consumers engaged across all brands and platforms. This candidate has vast experience scaling owned channels from the ground up. He/she will report directly to the Director, Direct-to-Consumer.

  • Develop big-picture vision for Spin Master owned content, editorial calendar and strategy
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives and devise storytelling strategies to achieve them.
  • Work directly with the Creative Lead on ideation, project management, and execution
  • Maintain ownership over the CRM strategy across all of Spin Master’s direct-to-consumer initiatives
  • Own and execute email strategy and calendar, as well as drive email acquisition to ensure healthy list growth
  • Manage ongoing optimization of program KPI's by designing comprehensive, measurable A/B testing methods
  • Owner of quarterly planning, budget and projections for content related initiatives
  • Serve as technical expert within Spin Master for email service provider to optimize reporting, targeting, acquisition and retention opportunities
  • Create strategies to support marketing and PR with creative brand copy as needed, including corporate communications, direct mail, retail signage, social media, or other PR/marketing materials.

Who’s a good fit for this team:

  • 3+ years copywriting experience in ecommerce or retail industry preferred.
  • Experience with ESPs (preferably Klaviyo) and managing email strategy / campaigns
  • Exceptional grammar, writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Experience writing and developing content for advertising, on-site copy, promotional and editorial content.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tone of voice and ability to adapt to a multitude of Spin Master brands.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Must be passionate about direct-to-consumer trends and technology and be an early adopter of change

You should apply if you have the following:

  • University Degree in Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • 2-4+ years experience in content marketing, running a brand or ownership over growth.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment managing multiple brands and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with appropriate SaaS tools (Google Analytics, ESPs, keyword research tools, etc)
  • Growth mindset and a passion for learning and keeping up with trends at both a macro and micro level (cross screen, media, digital and social media landscapes)
