Reporting to the Senior HR Director, the Manager, Recruitment & Development is responsible for leading all recruitment and employee development activities for CRH Canada. The role involves managing the talent acquisition and talent development teams in Canada. 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads all recruitment activities and learning/development activities for CRH Canada
  • Manages the creative sourcing and screening of candidates to present to business stakeholders
  • Continuous research on the latest methods of recruitment advertising and innovative sourcing techniques (networking, cold calling, Internet searching and strategic job ad placement)
  • Manage campus recruitment initiatives
  • Oversee professional development to assist internal talent gain required skills to perform
  • Utilizes ATS (SuccessFactors) to track candidates, post positions and establishes metrics that are in line with the other internal groups 
  • Works closely with CRH Canada executive leadership to proactively understand the upcoming talent needs for the business and develop staffing plans
  • Tracks and develops hiring practices that will increase retention and employee development
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal customers
  • Continually find ways to enhance service offerings while controlling cost
  • Research job posting best practice to ensure all postings across the enterprise are consistent, branded appropriately, receive maximum exposure and provide optimum return on investment
  • Trains all members of the team on internal process and systems capabilities
  • Develop and execute an internal/external job posting audit process
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to drive consistent production on team
  • Continuously evaluate and improve our ROI with systems and recruiting vendors as it relates to recruiting with a focus on hourly recruitment

Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/University Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 5+ years of agency or corporate recruitment environment preferably in a management role
  • Experience linking talent & learning development initiatives to support retention and strategic plan
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve recruitment challenges
  • Experience in ATS technology (SuccessFactors experience is a huge plus)
  • Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal regulations as pertains to applications
  • Proven track record of recruiting top talent and strong understanding of the sense of urgency required to be successful in a Corporate Recruitment environment
  • Bilingual in English and French
