Our Human Resources team is growing! We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join to our Regina team in a new position supporting our Recycling Division. This dynamic human resources (HR)role is a key stakeholder to multiple site General Mangers, Supervisors and all first line leaders, as such, requires exceptional collaboration skills and a proven ability to build strong productive relationships across the business. This "boots on the ground" exceptionally tactical position provides advice, counsel and coaching on all matters relating to human capital.

  • Exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with employees and members of management
  • Align HR functions, priorities and efforts to the execution of the business strategy and are customer centric
  • Develop and maintain a robust and sustainable talent pipeline around our technical positions for the facility
  • Affect cultural change to one of a collaborative environment
  • Ensure transactional basics are functioning and delivering effective and efficient services
  • Develop, manage and enhance a variety of training and development programs and other programs as assigned
  • Provide consultative support to management for the consistent and appropriate application of policies and procedures
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality in all aspects of job performance
  • Administer a range of labour relations activities including: collective agreement administration, grievance and issue management, collective bargaining, union/management relations, performance management and conflict resolution processes
  • Provide advice and direction to all levels of management on the interpretation, application and administration of the collective agreements, legislation and company policies, overseeing and ensuring consistent application
  • Conduct investigations, summarize findings, recommend and implement solutions related to formal complaints consistent with procedural requirements in the collective agreement and relevant employment legislation

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Business Partner
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, organizational development, management or a related field
  • Previous manufacturing industry experience, preferably in a heavy industrial union environment, preferred
  • Experience and comfort working in a heavy industrial mill/manufacturing environment
  • Mature, collaborative, hands on, and tactically focused leader
  • Proven ability to develop a true HRBP relationship with business stakeholders
  • Organized, communicative and be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Action oriented after careful thought process
  • Ability to travel throughout the United States and Canada up to 50% of the time
