Agilus is currently seeking a HR Generalist for our client based in Edmonton, AB.


• Build strong relationships and credibility with all levels of the organization.
• In collaboration with the HR team, establish strong processes and strategies to source and identify qualified candidates.
• Receive, organize and review all incoming resumes utilizing the applicant tracking system.
• Raise proactive staffing issues with managers, identifying practical solutions and recommendations.
• Attend career/job fairs and represents the company in a positive and productive manner. 
• Provide strategic HR support and advice to a client group of Managers, Leaders, and employees in the areas of workforce planning, succession planning, employee relations, employment law, performance management, and change management.
• Support and assist in implementation of HR business practices.
• Ensure consistent usage of HR policies, programs, and practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation (changing or new) - including, but not limited to, Occupational Health & Safety, WCB, EI, Privacy, Employment Standards and Human Rights. 
• Provide coaching in diverse HR matters to all levels of the organization, as required
• Raise proactive issues with managers, identifying practical solutions to complex and diverse HR issues, and recommending appropriate action plans.
• Assist in preparation of relocation, living out allowances, and temporary assignments.
• Termination coaching to Managers and Leaders and ensuring consistent use of termination practices and exit management.
• Work with the HR team on implementation of HR programs and projects for the company including compensation and benefits, learning and development, HRIS projects and recruitment.


• 10 years of Human Resources experience, preferably with experience in multiple areas of HR or in a generalist role.
• 3+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment in Oil and Gas Environment,  proven track record in meeting and exceeding recruitment targets.
• Senior level experience providing advice on employment standards and employment law as it relates to terminations, investigations, and other employee relations activities.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills required, advanced knowledge of an ATS and reporting systems, and/or experience within ERP type systems. 
• Must display the flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to complete various recruitment and HR-related tasks. 
• Previous experience supporting multiple client groups, ability to build solid client relationships and work within a multidisciplinary setting.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with multiple stakeholders.
• Sound problem solving and influencing skills, coupled with an ability to understand broad Human Resource issues and resolve conflict situations in a diplomatic manner.
• Ability to multi-task with strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Strong work ethic and accountability, a high respect for confidentiality and sound professional judgment and initiative.
