Our client is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their team. Reporting the Executive Director, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement process. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, motivated and has a demonstrated desire to improve process.

The responsibilities for this role include:
*Assuming leadership for a supply chain group which would include performance management
*Purchasing of manufacturing components to assure schedules are met and costs are consistent with company contracts
*Manage the procurement and quality evaluation of suppliers
*Development of vendor relationships including negotiation of supplier contracts
*The maintenance and execution of all Systems relating to procurement and warehousing functions
*Ensure that all suppliers meet the established quality standards
*Minimize risk for existing and new vendors
*Improve process effectiveness and efficiencies and manage key performance metrics (Cost, quality and delivery)

Job Requirements

The Ideal Supply Chain Manager will have:
*A university degree (BCom, BA, Bsc and/or MBA)
*5+ years of progressive experience including proven leadership in a supply chain group
*Supply Chain Management certification i.e. PMAC would be considered highly desirable
*Must have experience in contract negotiation and logistics
*Demonstrable experience in Six Sigma/LEAN manufacturing methodologies would be considered an asset
*Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
