PROGRAMMER/ ANALYST | AURORA (YONGE & WELLINGTON)

REPORTS TO
VP, Customer Success

The Programmer/ Analyst position is responsible for the delivery, maintenance and support of assigned products, contributing to the design, development, and implementation in support of Customer Success Managers, implementation & support teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain & support solutions as assigned
- Responds to business development requests (BRD) and change requests (CR) to analyze customer requirements
- Coordination of Technical design of SOWs working with the Architecture team
- Coordination of Development of SOW design solutions working with the Development Team
- Responsible for the successful Delivery of SOWs
- Performing Emergency Break fixes when detected, can be any time of day (24/7), could be initiated externally by the client or internally (help desk, network, system or application teams).
- Providing operational support (24/7) through the phone, email and active monitoring on site or remotely.
- Generating custom SQL reports as required
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies with Architects, Dev teams and Customer Success Managers to realize the migration to new technologies
- Pre-production Acceptance Testing to help assure the quality of our products / services (QA)
- System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
- Suggesting architecture improvements and recommending process improvements
- Quality Assurance/ testing of solutions
- Documentation of custom processes and integration with existing Infrastructure
- Tier 2 Support of production issues and cases (analysis of issues and coordination of bug fixes and resolutions of cases)
- Organize and deploy Managed Releases (MRs) using Dynamics
- Manages Product Features in Dynamics CRM to capture problems, proposed solutions, estimated work efforts and testing requirements
- Cross training peers for business continuity

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
- BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
- 3+ years of solid experience in the architecture, design and implementation of n-tier applications
- Solid knowledge of .NET development tools, SQL Server and database concepts
- Create databases, tables, stored procedures, and views in MSSQL.
- Extensive experience in Web technologies using XML, CSS and .NET
- In depth knowledge of OOA, OOP and OOD (object-oriented programming)
- Past experience with Agile methodologies
- Ability to communicate technical information to team members, peers, management & clients.
- Ability to Implement solutions using VB6 (legacy code) and VB.NET
- Project management experience
- This position is required to work nights, evening and weekends to accommodate customer scheduled deployments.
