In search of a project coordinator for a long term opportunity with a well known developer and construction company in the Lower Mainland.
You will assist the PM with project budget, schedule, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, forecasting, purchases and warranty.
You will help with permit packages, coordinate drawings, obtain info required to submit for permit application, work with municipalities to obtain permits.
Prep and issue project tenders packages and scopes of work to sub vendors and trades, prepare bid analysis for PM, prepare POs for sub trades, keep drawings log/vendors lists/RFIs/change orders up to date in tracking system. Keep schedule up to date as advised by PM. Provide monthly status update reports including cost forecasting/cash flow/schedule updates/safety and quality updates. Maintain communication with superintendents and record daily construction activity. Manage meeting minutes. Coordinate shop drawings, maintain record files. Process and track change orders, process progress billings from subs and suppliers. Update PM on project timelines based on monitoring of site progress. Obtain and manage close-out documents including as-build record drawings, warranties, operating and maintenance manuals. Assist in obtaining the required occupancy permits for the project, assist in the recovery of all project Letter of Credits. Coordinate the project closeout meeting and provide a final report. Archive project binders, drawings and relevant documents for closed jobs.
5 years project coordinator
New construction experience in light industrial/commercial
Technical Diploma or relevant University Degree
Experience coordinating schedule and budget updates with superintendents
Experience prepping and issuing tender packages and scopes to subs
Experience coordinating shop drawings
Experience updating and maintaining schedules
Experience processing progress billings from subs and suppliers
Experience managing close out documents including sa-built drawings, warranties, operating and maintenance manuals
Experience obtaining permits
Experience completing final reporting for project closeouts
