Inventory Control Specialist
Job Description

Purpose: Maintain and control inventory accuracy, flow and integrity.
Principal Responsibilities and duties:
Assist and enable receiving, cycle counting and inventory staff to maintain industry exceeding integrity through daily activities.
The job duties include, but are not limited to;
- Ensuring stock and customer orders are put away or cross docked within 24 hours.
- Investigating cycle count discrepant findings.
- Audit cycle counts as per supervisor instruction.
- Adjusting inventory locations as required (i.e. alternate pick location process management) within QAD. - Continuous improvement activities related to inventory integrity.
- Maintain a 98% or better inventory accuracy rate.
- File “Daily Inventory Control Report” with supervisor daily by the end of shift.
- Support Sales/CS with stock check and inventory questions.
- Other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

• Post secondary education – preferably in an inventory management field.
• Interaction with Inventory Control team (i.e. receiver, cycle counter).
• Interaction with Sales/CS team.
• Interaction with other Shipping Team members.
• Interaction with other departments as required.
Experience and required skills:
• Experience with an ERP
• Familiarity with warehouse procedures regarding safety, inventory accuracy and operations.
