The Job Window is excited to announce that its client, a leader in the retail marketing industry is on the lookout for a full-time Entry Level Administrative Support Assistant (Retail Division) to join their busy corporate office team in Richmond Hill, ON!


They are looking for an entry level individual who considers themselves technically inclined; administratively savvy; detail oriented and can excel in a fast paced, time sensitive environment to join their growing team immediately!


The Entry Level Administrative Support Assistant (Retail Division) role offers a great position to help grow your administrative, analytical, technical, and communication skills in a team oriented environment.


This is a full-time, entry level position focused on supporting the Show Manager in this growing retail marketing based business.



Responsibilities of the Entry Level Administrative Support Assistant (Retail Division):


  • Administrative support to schedule freight pickups and deliveries

  • Prepares bills and letters of re-consignment for shipments

  • Assists Show Manager with administrative tasks as needed

  • Provides administrative & data entry assistance to the inventory control process to account for merchandise received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred.

  • Assists Show Manager with inventory forecasting and projections as needed: project and allocate retail sales levels based on retail store performance trends, sales history and retail product mix to maintain sufficient supply at the retail store level

  • Uses sales data to order replenishment as needed

  • Communicate with sales reps, vendors, shipping companies, and retailers

  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure stock levels meet current sales trends

  • Retail product & merchandise ordering

  • Follow up on sales, inventory discrepancies and product movement (tracking)

  • Hold sales reps and distributors accountable for following policies

  • Follows company processes and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement

  • Provides customer service to distributors



Job Requirements

Requirements of the Entry Level Administrative Support Assistant (Retail Division):


  • Strong data entry, keyboarding, coordination and administrative skills with emphasis on quality is required

  • Ability to make strategic decisions concerning inventory flow and supply

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; strong aptitude with numbers

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively with flexibility to shift focus and priorities at a moment’s notice

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in an administrative based support role or the retail sector is an asset.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends
