Position Summary:               
The Business Development Manager leads a team of individuals that work to on-board, grow and develop ADT Authorized Dealers.  He/she will contribute and support the ADT Authorized Dealers focused on enabling a strategic, cross-functional discipline that increases sales results and productivity including delivering integrated content, training and coaching for our salespeople and sales managers.  He/she must be adept at communicating a compelling vision and building engagement and alignment through exceptional people leadership, outstanding talent development, and effective communication and collaboration.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Functional
  • Leads and participates in efforts for content creation, delivery strategy and learning facilitation for sales managers and sales reps across our Dealership Channel
  • Leads effort to develop and deploy Regional Manager and Seller Effectiveness Guides in collaboration with Sales Programs teams and sales leadership.
  • Owns and manages routines with Performance Improvement Dealer Process Managers, to ensure daily, weekly and monthly communication with National Director to ensure we are working closely on all processes intended to increase Authorized Dealers growth and profitability.
  • Participates in design, as well as inspects and reviews all content design, deployment, and communications activity.
  • Ensures operating leverage, focusing on economies of scale and technology deployment to enhance dealer learning and development.
  • Leads sales side effort on career continuum and talent assessment execution in partnership with Authorized Dealers
  • Participates in developing strategies for sales enablement to provide sales teams with the resources they need to generate more revenue; creating a culture of success and ongoing sales goal achievement.
  • Develop processes and systems that deliver material, content and other tools for new rep onboarding and ongoing training programs which enable sales teams to present best in class solutions to potential customers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of sales programs and processes through best practice sharing, process improvement, and effective analytics; and collaborates with National Director to determine how to successfully deploy and implement across the regions.
  • Recommends innovative strategies and demonstrates strong commitment for ADT to continue improving the customer experience, while fostering a culture that demonstrates ADT’s responsibility to its employees, community and our mission of creating customers for life.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with Dealer partners and National Director to ensure implementation of sales processes and leadership processes to our Dealer Partners


Leadership
  • Leads a group of dealers by providing clarity of vision and expectations; role modeling effective coaching and performance feedback, prioritizing resources; facilitating alignment of the team.
  • Develops and executes a strong talent management plan including talent assessment, selection, empowerment, coaching, motivation and retention of top talent; builds and develops succession plans and pipeline of talent.
  • Employs a diverse and creative communications framework to align dealer’s employees and generate understanding and commitment to achieving the business plan.


Management
  • Partners effectively across business channels (Residential, Small Business, etc.) and functions (Operations) to ensure effective delivery of support services. Effectively solves problems or issues related to broader sales support challenges.
  • Ensures compliance and the highest ethical standards in all processes.
  • Creates the vision and fosters a culture of accountability for implementing actions that support customer service excellence.
  • Advocates and ensures corporate programs and initiatives are executed effectively and in alignment with ADT corporate strategy.

 


Job Requirements

Education:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent business experience.
 
Experience:                           
  • Minimum 3 years of sales, sales management and/or sales support experience preferably within a service, security or subscriber based business.  
  • Candidate should have a crystal clear understanding of all aspects of ADT dealer process which includes on-boarding, start up, selling, installing, and funding. (Asset)
  • Bilingual (French/English)
