Job Description:

Our Federal Government client here in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) has one (1) long term contract opportunity available for an Incident Management specialist to work within a Service Desk environment.   • Coordinate responses to incidents raised within the service desk (current tool utilized is Cherwell)
  • Perform initial priority assessments and mediate priority assessment disputes
  • Assist with enhancements of incident process documentation & incident reports
  • Assist in measuring and improving, information and experience within incident management
  • Ensure standards, tools and best practices are implemented
  • Educate community about Incident Management services
  • Prioritize incidents based on business impact and urgency
  • Ensure when potential major Incidents are detected they are escalated appropriately
  • Promote adherence to incident management and ITSM policy and procedures
  • Identify major Incident follow up items and takeaways for review
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement
  • Work closely with change and problem management teams
  • Prepare incident reports for management consumption
