On behalf of our client in the Retail Sector, PROCOM is looking for an Project Manager - Retail .

Project Manager - Retail - Job Description                                

  • Appropriately apply project management methodologies in a flexible and practical manner to meet projects specific needs.
  • Act as Scrum Master when agile methodology can be utilized
  • Manage scope, schedule and cost priorities between stakeholder groups and within the project team
  • Apply appropriate tools for managing, measuring and communicating: a) Risk  b) Resources c) Budget d) Schedule
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including business and technical as well as ‘C’ suite.
  • Identify critical path, determine and integrate milestones, control points, imposed dates and Go/No-go decision points into the schedule
  • Ability to manage simultaneous project where appropriate
  • Align project(s) with senior management strategic direction
  • Develop the project organization and structure to optimize alignment of individual and group skills with project tasks
  • Drive the decision-making process, be proactive in taking the initiative and the lead for identifying, analyzing and resolving issues
  • Perform the required activities for transitioning the project to the sustaining teams
  • Lead post mortem/root cause analysis
  • Support and coach project team members

Project Manager - Retail - Mandatory Skills

  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience managing medium to large scoped software based projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large complex projects and/or multiple medium complex projects from initiation through to closure
  • Preferred experience leading projects with solutions that were implemented nationally
  • Demonstrated Project Management competencies: budget and timeline management, scope management, risk management, issues management, timely decision making, effective team building, ability to prioritize and delegate appropriately and deal with changing priorities
  • Excellent people management skills; experience working with and managing teams in a matrix environment
  • Ability to manage change and successfully deliver in a fast paced environment
  • University degree or equivalent

Project Manager - Retail - Nice to Have Skills

  • Retail experience an asset
  • PMP and/or Agile certification an asset
  • Bilingual in French an asset
