PRESS SUPERVISOR (ROTATING SHIFTS)

Job Description

Our Client in Brampton is currently seeking a Supervisor for their facility to grow and develop their team of machine operators. You are known as a leader that leads by example and can bring out the best in their team.

Communicating and collaborating with various departments and reporting directly to the Production Shift Manager your leadership, coaching and measuring of production yields ensure targets of production and Customer deliverables are met.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Communicate with other Press Supervisors and the Production Manager on previous shift yields and current shift requirements
  • Start each shift on time ensuring adequate work force
  • Ensure presses are running uninterrupted throughout the shift
  • Ensure operators are conducting quality checks for visual & dimensional requirements as per standard operating procedures.
  • Train operators, troubleshoot problems and adjust when required
  • Ensure extrusion notes are meticulously followed and any deviations are noted.
  • Ensure any material that is out of spec is reworked or scrapped.
  • Provide feedback to die shop and scheduler regarding any unusual die performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality related policies, procedures and system requirements.


Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • 3 + years proven team building expertise in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • A strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, basic geometry, and the ability to read blue prints is essential.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
