Compensation: $19.95 to $23.10 per hour

Major responsibilities - Execute relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports to circulate amongst department heads - Maintain all updates of payroll records by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Compile all information in reference to summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages for reports - Manage other tasks as assigned - Help payroll manage all internal and external audits - Exercise of proper data management by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data - Reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities as needed - Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities - Offer proper review and verification of source documents - Report changes where necessary after maintaining payroll operations via company policies and procedures - Retrieve and assess information in order to resolve payroll discrepancies - Secure confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence - Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, certify company compliance - Answer questions and requests related to payroll information
Job Requirements
- Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Expertise with internal controls - Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Relevant experience should include 2+ years in payroll - Certified Payroll detail oriented designation preferred - Prior experience using accounting software - Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills - Solid understanding of workday - Microsoft Excel experience preferred - Payroll experience - Excellent data entry skills - Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
