Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hour days preferred; flexible shift times

Site:  Oakville

Our Oakville and Milton hospitals were built under the DBFM model which sees the design, construction and maintenance of the facility contracted to a third party company (Project Co) for a 30 year project term. The Contract Management office is responsible for managing and coordinating the operational aspects of Halton Healthcare facility management services and maintenance contracts with a focus on driving performance by managing to the DBFM contract requirements. Working closely with a variety of stakeholders the Contract Management office is responsible for ensuring that ProjectCo operations are in line with and aligned with the clinical and operational needs of Halton Healthcare.

Job objectives

  • Develop an excel analysis tool to help efficiently calculate performance penalties and track key performance indicators which are currently being monitored manually by the Contract Management team.

    • Ability to report progress and status updates to the Manager and Director level
  • Assist the Contract Management team in monitoring and measuring the performance of Project Co against performance standards described in the Facility Management Output Specifications. 
    • Build a standard template/ checklist for reviewing the monthly Performance Monitoring report produced by Project Co.
  • Assist in the review of Project Co submissions (ex. protocols, performance reports, preventative maintenance method of procedures) to ensure they meet contractual obligations and integrate well with clinical operations.
  • Attend various project and Facilities Management meetings and produce action logs and take minutes where required.
  • Help create presentations and communication documents for clinical staff to describe the operational impact of preventative maintenance or repair work occurring around the hospital.
  • Review ongoing corrective and preventative maintenance work orders, to ensure work orders were prioritized and completed properly with the root cause addressed.
  • Work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders and Project Co partners to ensure Facility Management Services are aligned with the clinical and operational needs of Halton Healthcare.
  • Assist the Contract Management team in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities on workflow processes.

Education Requirements 

  • Completed undergraduate degree in Engineering, Math, Health Administration or Business
  • Currently pursuing an MBA at an accredited Canadian university
