As the Road Service Technician, you will be conducting maintenance checks and diagnosing repairs for lift trucks and carousels at customer sites. You will also be responsible for performing repairs on docks & doors.

Are you good with your hands, have a knack for all things technical? Join the Johnston Equipment team as a road/ dock & door service technician! The ideal candidate will be skilled with mechanical, electrical, and information technology skills.


  • Achieve results through accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively and provide information in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate functional expertise in electrical and mechanical verticals


  • Examine overall operational integrity and condition of the trucks
  • Find defective or worn out mechanical or electrical parts then communicating and executing next steps for repair solutions to the customer
  • As a technician, you are the front line contact between GNJ and the customer, so you are comfortable with client contact as well as having technical savvy

Testing is part of our selection process. Each applicant selected to move forward will be required to complete testing for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.

  • Automotive Technician Certification or Designation preferred
  • Lift Capacity Inspection Technician Certification an asset
