On behalf of our client in the Telco Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Retail Design Specialist.

Retail Design Specialist – Job Description

  • The Store Design team is seeking a designer who is passionate about retail design.
  • The successful candidate will perform the following functions:
  • Develop innovative design concepts that speak to values and that reflect our stores' needs
  • Lead meetings and reviews of space planning exercises, exhausting layout options and encouraging healthy debate
  • Work collaboratively and build strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders and vendors
  • Responsible for the design process from the preliminary stage to final drawings; this includes engaging all stakeholders (internal and external) while supporting the construction project managers throughout the build cycle
  • Project manage multiple projects while prioritizing the output of tasks
  • Offer opportunities for cost reductions or client experience improvements
  • Keep well informed of the latest technological developments relating to field of practice and provide guidance to other team members
  • Knowledge in fixture detailing and manufacturing, along with the ability to estimate and forecast costs

Retail Design Specialist – Mandatory Skills

  • Post-secondary degree in Interior Design
  • Prior retail design experience (3-6 years)
  • AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop and Illustrator skills
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Member of IDC & NCIDQ Certified
  • Construction knowledge and Project Management skills or PMP certification
  • Intermediate level of communication and presentation skills
