Description

As a product marketer, you will be a leader on the team responsible for telling the world (and company) the story of our product. You will be expected to be our chief advocate for a specific feature set and its benefits. You will be our internal expert on the competitive landscape and help optimize our sales process and collateral. In short, you will give our sales team a competitive edge. 

Additionally, you will be charged with crafting the strategy around the messaging and marketing for new launches.  You will be responsible for thoroughly understanding critical market-related information such as customer needs processes, competitive threats, trends and opportunities in order to define and execute an effective campaign strategy that will allow us to achieve our revenue goals. 

Responsibilities:

  • Together with the product team, educate both internal and external stakeholders on our product features and their benefits.
  • Create content (e.g. sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, and other forums) to articulate the benefits of our products to the world.
  • Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of our product.
  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage.
  • Conducts primary and secondary market research around designated customer segment and translates market trends, activities, etc. into understandable, quantifiable information for the organization.
  • Conducts sub-segmentation analysis around persona needs and buying preferences.
  • Provides direction to Content Marketing Manager for the development of press releases, case studies, testimonials, insights, etc., to increase market awareness.
  • Provides strategies, key messaging, channel priority, and publication selection to Content Marketing Manager, Demand Generation Manager and other marketing managers.
  • Works closely with Product Management to establish the segment marketing plan, revenue forecasting, campaign priorities and relevant pricing strategies and tactics. Advocates specific product and segment marketing plan and revenue forecasting channel strategies and tactics.
  • Works with customers directly to understand customer needs; participates in sales calls, trade shows, and industry events. Works closely with Product Management to define, modify, enhance, adapt, and deliver products for the respective market segment.
  • Develops marketing plans informed by a deep understanding of assigned market segment and actively monitors, communicates, acts upon changes relevant to customer and competition.
  • Proactively addresses sales and revenue variances for markets assigned – both short and projected long-term.
  • Proactively identifies and champions new revenue opportunities. Plans, manages, implements, and facilitates the segment’s advisory council (once established).

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Past experience in digital marketing, product marketing, and/or product management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills --- there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot’s Content Optimization System. You will be expected to build product pages, optimize the conversion paths on those pages, and use smart calls-to-action to create and test buyer stage-specific CTAs.
  • Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring to life the product. You are at the center of our entire organization, constantly interacting with teammates and prospects.
  • Experienced with: Hubspot, WordPress, SalesforceAdobe, Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), tools and process enabling remote connection to internal systems. Experience with SEM and Google Analytics
