Logistics Manager
Job Description

Our client a leader in the Bakery sector is looking to add a Logistics/Warehouse Manager to their team. This is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the order fulfillment operation ensuring the accuracy of the receiving, warehousing, order picking and cycle counts for the company
  • Responsible for the management of the 3rd party logistic providers including the negotiation of rates globally
  • Developing and monitoring the follow-through of the dock schedule
  • Lead by example to ensure the team performs at their operational best
  • Coach, mentor and train the team
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure needs are met regarding logistics requirements
  • Manager KPI’s while identifying opportunities for continual improvement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients and carriers to ensure an efficient flow of the supply chain process
  • Stay updated on all changes to the transportation field, carrier regulations, tariff changes and government regulations

Job Requirements


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the food sector
  • Previous experience with Sage 300 an asset
  • Previous experience in a HACCP environment
  • Raymond Reach and Walkie certification
  • Previous experience with Lean manufacturing or Six sigma
  • Experience working with both domestic and international shipments
  • Customer focused, strong continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong hands on experience
  • Ability to speak Spanish and asset
