Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, we have an opening for an HR Coordinator on our Toronto-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we continue to scale globally, expand our service and solution offerings, and acquire new companies. This is a role for someone who wants to help increase HR’s presence amongst employees, building relationships and understanding the needs of employees at the local, regional, and national levels.

What you will do:

  • Maintain Workday, our HRIS. You will be responsible for the general employee file maintenance and transactions in Workday. You will ensure correct and accurate information is entered into the systems on time. You will coordinate with other teams, including marketing, communications, learning and development to provide data integrity support. 

  • Support HR functions. You will support the team with HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, general administrative support, and responding to employee inquiries about HR policies, programs, and processes. You will be called upon to provide support for benefits administration, payroll review and processing, etc.

  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding efforts. You will assist in the full-cycle recruiting process including the creation of offer letters and assist with the on-boarding of new employees. You will contribute to the implementation of best practices for all-round candidate experience.

  • Involved in various HR projects such as the annual Take Our Kids to Work Day, policy development and implementation, testing of both new and existing systems, and processes. 

Our new HR Coordinator will have:

  • The education. You have a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or Management. You have, or you are interested in pursuing HR certification. Ideally you are bilingual in French and English, written and verbal.

  • The experience. You have HR administration and coordination experience, ideally with hands-on exposure to data management. You have a strong ability to create letters, process forms, synthesize information, analyze data, and provide a summary of analysis.

  • The administrative soft skills. You can expertly balance conflicting priorities of demanding and diverse client groups within a changing environment. You are logical with sound judgement. You are process-oriented with excellent attention to detail.

  • The relationship building skills. You have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You know how to work with any level of internal client.

  • The passion. You want to grow your career in HR – helping to build and nurture a winning culture in a trusting environment. You are happy to jump in where needed. 

  • The technical skills. You have hands-on experience with MS Office and you may have exposure to an HRIS system. You enjoy learning new technologies and tools quickly.

  • The right personality. You are motivated, energetic, animated, assertive, and outgoing. Ultimately, you are approachable and you believe in creating a fun atmosphere of learning and support.
