The Role

You’ll be joining a small but expanding Growth team, reporting to and working closely with our Head of Growth. You will be responsible for helping to develop business by inbound and outbound lead generation, as well as supporting marketing inbound leads by scheduling demonstrations for high-level stakeholders at Fortune 500 companies. As part of our initial Growth team, you will get to be part of and directly shape through your efforts our business development strategy.

We’re looking for highly motivated, energetic self starters with strong interpersonal skills, a scrappy startup mentality and a desire to make an immediate impact on a rapidly growing business. You should thrive in fast-paced and cross-functional environments, be comfortable with change and be excited by large enterprise sales.

Some Challenges You’ll Tackle:

  • Support inbound leads and grow our top-of-funnel by prospecting for high-value sales leads
  • You will help progress sales leads through our pipeline by setting up demonstrations of SHIFT’s tools
  • Qualify and develop new contacts within defined prospects and customer accounts
  • You will craft messaging to help educate potential customers on the value of SHIFT’s tools
  • Track activities and maintain relevant information in our CRM system (we’re all about tracking our metrics to ensure constant learning and improvement)
  • Other duties as required (this is a startup after all!)

We’re looking for you to have many of the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related concentration or equivalent experience
  • A scrappy, entrepreneurial approach with a real willingness to learn and improve
  • An analytical ability to run and track campaigns and manage a CRM are crucial
  • Experience with inside or outbound sales or similar (this can include experience from summer internships, co-ops or 1-2 years at another organization)
  • Exceptional communication skills: verbal, written, listening, and comprehension
  • Must be proficient with business productivity tools (G-suite, etc.). Experience using CRMs is a plus (we use Hubspot)
  • Interest in B2B / Enterprise sales and SaaS platforms is a plus
  • Impressive organizational capabilities - there will be many interesting competing priorities, and our analysts will constantly be prioritizing and re-prioritizing
  • Evidence of being a team player and the type of person who will roll up their sleeves to help their leaders, colleagues and clients
  • Must be located in Toronto
