ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Evaluate appropriate repair requirements for each job.
  • Prior to commencement of work, determine if appropriate tools and equipment are working and/or available.
  • Establish the needs of each job.
  • Determine if work needs to be performed and the measures needed to effect repair. Documentation of the work to be performed is discussed with Customer.
  • Perform commercial service repairs on a wide range of products, including hinges, electric door operators, door hardware, locks, etc.
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance Inspections per AAADM & Horton Ontario guidelines.
  • Care and maintenance of equipment and tools provided by Door Services Corp.
  • Care and maintenance of vehicles provided by Door Services Corp.
  • Maintain appropriate parts inventory in the vehicle to ensure that items are available for service work as determined by your service manager.
  • Represent HAO with customers and present them in a professional manner.
  • Provide explanation of the work to be performed and work finished. Description of operating functions, safety systems, operator controls and proper customer maintenance are required.
  • Upon completion of each service call, clean work area and discard trash in appropriate containers.
  • Contact HAO Service Coordinator regarding job progress, time of completion and additional work that needs to be performed.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork (hardcopy or electronic is sufficient detail to provide the office with the necessary information to allow for invoicing or for any required next steps should a follow up visit be required.
  • Represent HAO with customers and represent the Company in a professional manner.
