Job Location - Mississauga

Job Overview

This Benefits Administrator position is responsible for the administrative support of the group benefit programs, including but not limited to multiple employee group benefits, RRSP and pension plans in multiple systems. This Benefit Administrator position will assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for visitors and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities of the Benefits Administrator Role

Administration of multiple group benefit plans and RRSP/Pension Plans

*Calculate employee benefit deductions for payroll weekly
*Conduct audits pertaining to eligibility and participation
*Process Self-insured dental claims
*Answer simple queries and provide requested documents through a ticketing system
*Implement various processes like benefit continuation, extension of benefits, termination of benefits etc.
*Maintain administrative packages for group benefits and retirement plans
*Process RRSP Application forms and employee payroll deductions based on eligibility
*Generate Employee demographic and benefit reports
*Process Benefit Enrolment and Change forms into a Benefits system as eligible
*Prepare LOA forms for cost share of Group Benefits during a Leave
*Track and monitor all Leaves as determined by management
*Administer the maternity leave top-up program

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements of the Benefits Administrator Role
*Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma in human resources, business or equivalency
*Strong customer service focus – the ability to act tactfully, diplomatically and professionally
*2-4 years of related experience working with benefit and retirement plans
*Knowledge of benefits impact to payroll
*Strong interpersonal skills.
*Excellent time management skills – the ability to multi-task, plan, and prioritize work
*Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
*Computer literacy – proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word and Excel)
*Strong attention to detail
*Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
*Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
