This is because buildings have little to no technology to control this.

We are looking for a BAS Computer & Information Systems Manager to join our team and help us to ensure that all client buildings in the GTA are adapted to work successfully with the Parity platform. This individual will be Leveraging your background in Engineering, computer and information systems along with knowledge of HVAC/Automation Systems to manage, plan and evaluate our hardware, software and BAS processes. This individual will partner with our Sales & Operations teams to ensure that all buildings in our portfolio are quoted, set-up and optimized throughout their time with us and work alongside contractors to develop and operate our BAS communication software. This is a high-impact role, working closely with leaders from Sales and Operations. We are looking for someone hungry, eager to learn, and passionate about the energy and Cleantech space! 


  • You will lead the ongoing refinement of Parity's building controls system for tracking, presenting and managing building processes
  • You have experience programming and controlling programmable logic control (PLC)  Programs with software platforms such as Niagara N4 
  • You will be responsible to plan, organize, and evaluate our cloud-based information systems relating to BAS/ HVAC, along with set-up and integration to the Parity Inc. Software.
  • You will be responsible for implementing process improvement initiatives for our data processing and software computer system development. 
  • You will be responsible to meet with our field contractors and our clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines that could appear during the installation period and thereafter
  • You will own the final commissioning of sites and sign-off to ensure they meet all program requirements are assembled and manage teams with this information
  • You will help control the overall project budget and expenditures of the BAS install projects, along with following up with the progress of our client sites
  • You will assist Building Intelligence Engineers and other technicians including our contractors with their professional development and overall training 
  • HVAC control philosophy design, and implementation with respect to; life safety, energy efficiency, and engineering best practices.
  • You will support our Sales team with quoting and estimations, work with our Development team to build internal tools, and work with Operations to provide support to our customers during and after installation
  • You will have the opportunity to help optimize and improve current processes, as well as play a major role in building out our Building Intelligence team


  • You have several years of experience managing teams or supervising contractors, software engineering 
  • You have an academic background in Engineering, with a passion for HVAC, automation or mechanical/electrical engineering
  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, commerce or engineering and PLC programming.
  • You are eager to grow, learn and tackle new opportunities in a fast-growing Start-up environment
  • You are a quick learner, and only need to be shown something once before doing it yourself, and then going back to improve the process
  • You constantly seek efficiency and optimization of processes and procedures; you look for gaps and work to fill them
