Classification: Sr. Accountant

Compensation: $55000.00 to $75000.00 yearly

The Senior Accountant is responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. To succeed in this role, you must be proficient at analyzing information. This position is full time with excellent compensation and benefits, as well as the chance to grow.

How you will make an impact:

- Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

- Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

- Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP

- Participate in various department-wide initiatives

Job Requirements

- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Reconciliation

- Well-founded grasp of Year-end Audits

- Budgeting experience desired

- Monthly Journal Entries experience preferred

- Proven knowledge of Fixed Asset Ledger

- Expertise in variance analysis

- General familiarity with financial statement preparation

- Financial reporting experience

- Skilled at time management

- Experience with ERP systems

- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

- Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

- Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

- 5+ years of overall general accounting experience

- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
