Compensation: $17.58 to $20.35 hourly

This dedicated and passionate team is your next step for a career growth opportunity. The Payroll Administrator opportunity will be located in Winnipeg, Manitoba as a short-term temporary role.

Your responsibilities in this role:

- Produce reports after compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages

- Handle specific weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for department heads

- Miscellaneous duties as assigned

- Managing payroll information by keeping proper records for collecting, calculating, and entering data

- Continue implementation of established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations, reporting changes where necessary

- Guarantee company compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines

- Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll

- Collect and analyze information including resolving payroll discrepancies

- Manage and review, including verify, source documents

- Put together summaries of employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments

- Maintain all updates of payroll records by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers

- Promote employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and keeping information confidential

- Manage payroll information requests and questions

- Able to reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities

Job Requirements

- Prior experience working with high volume multi-location payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.

- Meet and uphold Certified Payroll Professional criteria

- Experience with US payroll is an asset - this role will support teams processing US payroll and W$ entries

- Strong familiarity with payroll for over 500 employees

- Adeptness in Reviewing Timesheets

- Command of Reconciling Payroll

- Foundational knowledge in Payroll Tax Reporting

- General familiarity with Google Docs

- Comprehensive knowledge of Processing Payroll

- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Experience in Researching Discrepancies highly desired

- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

- 2+ years of relevant experience in payroll

- Knowledgeable about internal controls

- Prior experience using accounting software

- Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Experienced in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
