Talentcor Winnipeg is currently recruiting for a Kitchen Manager position. This permanent position is for a well-known, successful, local Winnipeg restaurant, offering excellent compensation and the opportunity for career growth.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Kitchen Manager ensures that all base-line operations are maintained and exceeded to the exact Company standards.

Responsibilities

Adhere to Manitoba Food Safety requirements Responsible for all team leaders and managers' daily operations Ensure guest satisfaction Ensure inventory is being counted and handled correctly Ensure that production and beverage expediency (ticket times) is maintained under all situations Mentoring the kitchen team Accountable for the overall sanitation of the kitchen Ensure that all safety standards are maintained, and train where necessary Ensure all equipment and knives are clean, and in good working order Develop and implement strategic planning for preventative maintenance on all equipment Responsible for hiring all kitchen employees Responsible for training, coaching and developing all kitchen employees Responsible for all kitchen terminations, alongside the General Manager, while following the company’s Corrective Action Process Ensure that labour sheets are totaled and calculated accurately every day of the week Develop, implement and manage strategic plans for kitchen within the budget Create and follow kitchen daily schedules Responsible for handling, compiling, confidentiality and accuracy of payroll Responsible for daily cash reconciliation Handle guest complaints respectfully Ensure confidentiality and protection of all employee information at all times Run great shifts, regardless of any perceived limitations Ensure that kitchen employees are provided with a work environment that is informative, fun, motivational, safe and free of harassment Qualifications

3 years experience in the food service industry Experience leading a team Must be flexible to work in morning and evening shifts, 7 days a week, for a total of 40 hrs. Experience in conducting performance reviews Experience in hiring, training, coaching, and disciplining staff Experience in budgeting and cash handling In-depth knowledge of kitchen safety and health regulations Ability to work well in fast-paced and stressful work environment
