One of our clients is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join their Peterborough team. If you enjoy hands-on work as much as you do computer-based tasks, this is the role for you. 

As a Warehouse Associate, you will handle personal mobility devices and act as the gatekeeper for equipment stored in the Peterborough facility. You will ensure the adequate storage, cleaning, and packing of items as they enter and exit the warehouse. If you’re a detail-oriented individual who’s committed to the upkeep of a clean and organized workspace who’s looking to get in at the ground level of a growing, national organization, this is the place to be.

What you will do

Inventory. Using Microsoft shipping software, you will:

  • Receive equipment from suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor deliveries ensuring received items are correct and undamaged.
  • Input orders into our shipping software
  • Price and organize all mobility devices, parts and tools within the warehouse.
  • Prepare equipment for shipment
  • Build, repair, and deliver mobility equipment

Cleaning. You will clean personal, heavily used mobility devices such as wheelchairs, elevating equipment, and power scooters. 

What you bring 

The education and experience. You have a high school diploma and ideally, have 1+ year of experience in an inventory handling or a general warehouse position.

The communication skills. You are a clear written and verbal communicator who will provide excellent customer service to our clients and suppliers.  

Technical ability. You have no problems picking up a wrench to disassemble equipment and can make minor adjustments and repairs to wheelchairs.

Additional Must Have Requirements. You are capable of lifting fifty plus (50+) pounds to move or repair mobility equipment. You have a clean driving abstract, clean criminal background check and are bondable.

The Nice to Have. Bonus points if you have experience using Microsoft shipping software.
