Our client a highly successful IT company is currently looking for a US Tax Manager. The US Tax Manager will become a member of the global tax department and will be responsible for corporation tax compliance, planning and accounting for income taxes for the US and cross border issues. The Tax Group is responsible to add value by ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance and accounting while managing and balancing tax risks.

Key Responsibilities

* US corporate tax compliance ? this will include review of US income tax returns/extensions/quarterly tax installments for separate entities and consolidated groups (prepared by internal US tax team or third party tax advisors), coordinating with US controllers and other internal departments to gather the necessary information required to prepare the returns * Review of tax provision calculation for US Companies, including interaction with outside financial statement auditors, support and ensure SOX compliance * Managing and coordinating tax projects * Research and documentation of income tax accounting methods, tax positions and processes * Prepare/review responses to notices received from governmental agencies to resolve any disputed issues * Keep up to date on tax law changes and their organizational impact * Assist Sr. Management with IRS and state income tax audits

Job Requirements


* Bachelor's degree required, CPA designation * Minimum of 5 years tax experience, from public accounting firm or industry * Experience in the following technical areas: Consolidated tax return process for a large multinational company, Tax accounting related to various IP issues * Experience in dealing with taxing agencies and outside auditors (both in tax jurisdictions financial statement auditors) * Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting time lines. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straight forward manner. Self-motivation with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment * A proactive, can-do, work ethic; a demonstrated strong desire to work hard to identify issues and opportunities * Ability to manage relationships with external tax advisors in tax planning and compliance assignments. Ability to work cooperatively with internal finance and accounting services teams. Collaborate with senior management colleagues on file planning * Knowledge of GO Systems/One Source for tax return preparation
