Test Engineer or Test Technologist
Job Description


 

Job Summary:

As Test Engineer or Technologist you will be involved in the planning, designing and conducting of various lab and field tests including data acquisition, data processing, evaluation and report writing. This activity may extend into troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

 Develop test standard(s) and test procedure(s)

 Develop/update standardized processes and procedures for test team

 Ensure adherence to Buhler Versatile's engineering process(es) and procedure(s)

 Coordinate with engineering or other team(s) to determine and define test criteria(s)

 Coordinate, operate and maintain equipment(s) and component(s) for testing

 Set up of tests

 Design/construct test fixtures

 Take direction from Senior Test Engineer/Team Leader/Manager/Director

 Conduct lab and field tests

 Follow up on field tests

 Write test reports

 Operate and maintain Test site(s)

 May travel internationally within North America and possibly overseas



Job Requirements


●  Graduate of a diploma or degree engineering program

●  Previous work related experience in a test environment

  Familiarity with agricultural equipment or similar equipment

  Data acquisition and report writing

  Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems

  Strong mechanical aptitude

  Strong written and verbal English communication skills

  Ability to cross border travel

  Valid passport and driver’s license
