Buhler Industries has an exciting opportunity for a:
TECHNICAL WRITER


  • Research, plan, create and revise technical documents using approved data from multiple sources. Technical content being created or revised includes: service bulletins, installation instructions, illustrations, operations and maintenance manuals.

  • Technical documents vary from mechanical to software subjects.

  • Shall have the ability to perform both individually and as part of a diverse team.

  • Consults with Subject matter Experts, Engineers and Publications on writing and illustration requirements, production schedules, formatting specifications and delivery deadlines.






Job Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign, Adobe Acrobat) and familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator and Frame Maker.
  • Exceptional with research and investigating.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of PCs and Windows. Experience with MS Word and Excel.
  • Should possess some mechanical knowledge or expressed interest.
  • Experience in project management is an asset.
  • College diploma preferably in technical communication, a diploma with a communications or digital multimedia/design background will be considered; or equivalent experience.
