Robert Half Technology is looking for a Team Manager for our Client. As the successful Candidate you will be accountable for supporting and leading team members to successfully deliver as a dynamic team the planning, implementation and management of enterprise networks, telecommunications and security infrastructure. Deliver day-to-day operational management overseeing the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise network, security and telecommunications infrastructure including supporting contact centre applications. ? Lead and participate in projects within and across the IT division following the corporate project management methodology. ? Provide guidance required by staff and customers in implementing stable technical solutions. ? Recruit, train, mentor and coach team members in partnership with the Manager of the team, with an end goal of retaining a work force of the highest quality for both the team and the company. ? Assign team resources and expertise required by both operational and project based initiatives. ? Generate a positive working environment for the team, which inspires high productivity and cohesive team work. ? Demonstrate commitment to performance management and staff development through annual performance reviews, career development and training plans for team members. ? Encourage and enforce quality control for all standard operating procedures used by the team. ? Motivate and enforce compliance to existing department-level processes such as time tracking and change management. ? Manage the delivery of effective resolutions when concerns or performance issues arise from within the team, business and support areas, or external clients. ? Keep up to date and informed on technologies the team is responsible for. ? Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, peers, and vendors and service providers. ? Participate in an on call 24/7 rotation for escalation management. ? Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
? 3 + years of direct leadership experience managing technical teams in the IT industry is required, including HR responsibilities. ? Demonstrated experience with enterprise network, telecommunications and security infrastructure is recommended. ? Demonstrated strength in planning, organizing and delegating. ? Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong skills in verbal and written communication. ? Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated commitment to customer support are critical. ? Strong leadership, decision making and motivational abilities ? Exceptional relationship building, collaboration and social skills with excellent customer focus ? Strong presentation skills, being able to present technical material to various levels of audiences within the organization with the ability to demonstrate professionalism in all communications and interactions. ? Solid analytic and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented mind set and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects ? Ability to deal with very stressful situations and conflicting priorities professionally along with the ability to be highly adaptable and to operate in a rapidly changing environment. ? A two-year technical diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute is required.
