This position with a large Canadian Publicly Listed Organization provides the opportunity to participate in a wide range of complex and challenging tax projects and to enhance the Company’s global tax landscape through cross-departmental teaming, digital and process efficiencies, and corporate tax savings.

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter who thrives on new challenges, problem-solving and provides quality work. You will need strong time management and organizational skills, be attentive to details, be able to work both independently and in a team, and be able to manage multiple projects while still meeting deadlines. You are expected to automate the tax function by leveraging technology and digital tools to maximize efficiency and accuracy. Occasional travel to Canadian locations is required.

Your primary responsibility will be Canadian indirect tax compliance, but you will also be called upon to assist with Canadian and US corporate tax compliance and to support strategic tax planning. The ideal candidate should have both commodity tax experience and general tax exposure, as you are required to stay flexible and provide tax subject matter expertise as well as broad-spectrum tax compliance support. Partnering with various business functions and ensuring coordination of cross-functional tax solutions is critical to this role. You will be an integral part of our tax team, supporting both our Canadian and US operations.


3-4 years of tax work experience, with a minimum of 2 years specializing in Canadian commodity tax compliance
Broad-based Canadian corporate tax, property tax, payroll tax, non-resident withholding tax knowledge would be an asset
Industry experience would be an asset.
