Our client is a growing public organization and they have expanded their operations into a few international countries. The Director of Tax is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst for a 6+ month contract (could extend longer), to assist with various TAX compliance requirements as they progress to year end and beyond.

The Senior Tax Analyst would be responsible to prepare Canadian tax returns and other tax compliance requirements. If you have experience with additional international tax or there is a willingness to learn, there is an opportunity to assist with this as well. This Senior Tax Analyst will be directed to assist with various pieces of the International tax function pertaining to the business of the company as well as other possible duties such as tax planning or other ad hoc requirements. The Director is somewhat flexible on assigned responsibilities. Our client is looking for strong public practice tax experience as a baseline of tax knowledge and 3-5 years of industry tax compliance to perform the work they need to complete.

Responsibilities would include:

• Prepare & Review federal and provincial income tax returns, including information returns and other filings

• Prepare & Review income tax provisions and provide support on complex accounting transactions

• Assist with any income tax audits

• Manage and support other groups with current tax legislation and

• Liaise with external adviser's and auditors.

Requirements

Qualifications
• Experience with income tax returns and tax provision preparation for corporations and partnerships

• 5-10 years of dedicated tax experience working with corporations, partnerships, and/or international organizations

• Completion of a Canadian or U.S. accounting designation (CPA, CA)

• Completion or enrollment in the CPA In-Depth Tax program

• Proficient computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel

• Self-starter, with high attention to detail and the ability to learn

• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to assist on adhoc items .
