      THe Storage Solutions Group Sales Representative will perform the sale of shelving systems and the management of each project's budget from system installations until the end of the initial cycle, usually lasting 6 months. The desire to sell is not the only aspect related to this position; the ideal candidate will also motivate others to achieve the same results.       The Storage Solutions Representative (SSG) is patient to persevere through lengthy sales processes, and have a keen awareness of the importance of after-sales services to fully understand customer expectations and respond appropriately. Throughout this process, they will coordinate their interventions with their internal and external partners to respect the budget and manage the project with regard to the products and services. As such, their sense of organization and communications will become imperative to successfully close contracts. The Storage Solutions Representative (SSG) also has experience in prospecting for new clientele and the development and support of current customers. Their ability to build long-term relationships is critical to their success. The ideal candidate has a dynamic and analytical personality, patience and is able to remain calm when under stress to meet project deliverables. They will focus primarily on customer service, listening to the needs of others, inventing multi-faceted solutions and establishing action plans with their partners.


      • Educate client’s on Johnston Equipment’s line of products
      • Leverage networking abilities to engage decision-making contacts
      • Bring on new business to achieve sales quota while maintaining sales with current customers
      • Develop markets for the Storage Solutions Group product line and service by representing the Company. Liaison with all GNJ divisions to satisfy customer needs

      Key Work Activities:

      • Develop sales for Storage Solutions Group products and services, with emphasis on Job Goods, in a designated area
      • Develops new business/sales opportunities through cold calling and prospecting of territory
      • Provide consulting to customer on their material handling needs
      • Present product information regarding features, benefits and new developments to customers
      • Prepare proposals and budget quotes for customers
      • Design layouts/systems using CAD skills for storage and material flow solutions
      • Prepare annual business plan for given territory
      • Prepare market plans and quotation data reports on a monthly basis
      • Conducts System/Project Review Boards in accordance with company policy
      • Travels extensively by car to accounts base
      • Performs other duties as required
