We offer financial institutions an elegant, SaaS-based solution to the receipt management problem.  We also provide SDK’s and API’s that make it easy for them to integrate our solution into their own mobile apps, and offer it to their own customers - who use it to capture and manage important receipts for returns, exchanges, expenses, accounting, and taxes.

Why we need you:

We are looking for a senior Software Developer for our Research and Data team. Ideally someone that has experience designing systems that have gone into production. You should have some experience maintaining a production system as well.

A day in the life:

  • Improve core components (accuracy, speed, scalability) of our receipt processing pipeline
  • Improve machine learning models (analyze and improve current neural network architectures, investigate new architectures)
  • Attempt radical approaches to solve challenges in data extraction
  • Support productization and maintenance of research projects (upgrades and migrations, continuous integration)
  • Mentor and guide junior developers

A bit about you:

  • An Engineer at heart - you enjoy solving problems that have high technical uncertainty
  • At least 3 years of experience preferably on server side technologies
  • Interested in machine learning and natural language processing

Nice to have:

  • Javascript/NodeJS experience
  • Experience with all or some of Machine Learning, Neural Networks, NLP
  • You've got projects that use Python, Tensorflow / Keras that you'd like to show us
  • You've played around with React (and front end technologies). We're looking to increase our productivity by augmenting our tooling.

What does the interview process look like?

The first step is a conversation with someone from the Talent & Culture team.  They’ll focus on the culture side of things and answer any questions you may have.  If all goes well, we give you an assignment that will allow you to showcase your skills, and also give you some insight to the type of problems and experiences you'll face in your role with us.  The last step of our process is a panel style of interview where you will meet the team, see our space, and present your assignment.
