Our client is looking for a Solutions Architect with experience in the Manufacturing sector.

As a Solutions Architect in our Manufacturing Execution Systems Team (MES), you will be responsible for taking on various technical roles on projects aimed at delivering IT solutions to the manufacturing industry. To be successful, you must have exceptional technical, analytical, and communication skills.

Your Responsibilities….

        
  • Assess complex technical environments and define requirements for integration of new solutions
  •     
  • Create / design, standardize, and maintain an entire technology set for a customer program across different sites
  •     
  • Design and develop standard solutions for use across multiple projects (libraries, controls, applications, tools)
  •     
  • In conjunction with program management, provide detailed, consultative services to a customer in regards to their standards road map and the factors that will influence the success (or failure) of a standards program
  •     
  • Act as the technical lead on sales calls with large customers
  •     
  • Walk customers through detailed presentations of different technology stacks, how they apply to a given project, and the pros and cons of the options in relation to the customer's needs
  •     
  • Financial estimates; cost-benefit analysis
  •     
  • Build strong relationships with Customers and Strategic Partners
  •     
  • Mentor more junior developers
Desired Skills and Experience

Innovative, highly technical professional with demonstrated experience and success in full life cycle software development projects.   Specific requirements include:

        
  • University degree in Computer Science or Engineering with a substantial computer science component
  •     
  • 10 + years experience in full life cycle software development inclusive of:    
              
    • evaluating new technologies
    •         
    • setting and maintaining technology standards
    •         
    • Designing and developing complex IT systems
    •         
    • strong  database, programming / logic background
    •     
        
  •     
  • Financial acumen
  •     
  • History of driving results
  •     
  • Strong preference for experience in manufacturing
  •     
  • Positive attitude with excellent teamwork and multi tasking skills
  •     
  • Ability to travel globally
