Robert Half Technology is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer for our Calgary Client. As the successful candidate for the role you will be accountable for engineering the Clients’ technology stack, with a primary focus on API. As a senior developer you will be responsible for mentoring and assisting other development team members as well as assisting with system architecture and design.

RESPONSIBILITIES
× Full stack development using various frameworks
× Design code for testability using experienced working knowledge of best practices, patterns and principles of software development
× Apply knowledge of modern techniques and concepts to design and develop a variety of applications
× Practice critical thinking to help ensure cost effective solutions within all projects
× Liaise with team members on projects, progress, issues, and risk
× Perform other duties as assigned.

 6+ years’ proven working experience in a software development role with demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript, including JavaScript libraries: Node, Express
 Demonstrated ability in multiple programming languages
 Ability to evaluate and learn new JavaScript libraries.
 Experience with database technologies (MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Neo4J)
 A desire to mentor and lead other developers
 Architect RESTful APIs, including testing and tuning
 Testing front end applications, preferably with Jest/Enzyme
 Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis)
 Experience with version control systems (preferably Git)
 Experience with design and implementation of microservices
 Excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to partner with all levels of the organization, a commitment to service excellence, quality and communication.
 Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
 Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions within scope of position.
 Must be highly motivated with great attention to detail and excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
 Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent
