Position Summary:

The primary objective of this position is to examine and assess equipment in order to make accurate recommendations for installation, repairs and service.

Location: Penticton, BC


  • Repair manual and power mobility devices
  • Install and repair elevating products
  • Program and set-up basic power equipment
  • Ensure authorization has been completed before initiating repairs
  • Install products in clients home
  • Instruct clients in the proper use of product
  • Provide manual and power assessment and quotes on repairs
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Deliver and set up equipment
  • Assist Sales Consultant in assessment and dispensing of equipment
  • Accountable for shop tools provided
  • Responsible for regular maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle
  • Perform other duties as required

Job Knowledge or Work Experience:

  • 2+ year experience in a service technician position is an asset
  • Knowledge of HME (home medical equipment) products (elevating, mobility) is an asset.


  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills
  • Ability to utilize a multi-meter
  • Commitment and ability to provide outstanding customer service skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent &Team based thinking and decision making when dealing with issues related to judgment & decisions.
  • The ability to collect data related to technical issues, and present solutions to the team & client is essential
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, work, excel, etc.)


  • Technical training or post-secondary diploma, certificate in relevant program
