Service Parts Manager
Job Description

As the Service Parts Manager, you will directly supervise and coordinate activities of service parts employees.  Duties may also include budgeting, accounting, and personnel documentation.



Key Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Develop promotional stocking programs to increase sales of service parts, maintain contact with dealers assuring service of parts is at satisfactorily level
  • Assure customer orders are processed in the right priority and speed to meet company objective
  • Detailed involvement in the planning and management of Service parts inventory, slow moving and obsolete items clearance, and maintenance of the inventory control system
  • Develop and maintain fill rates as outlined according to company standard
  • Oversee the Winnipeg and Blair, Nebraska warehouses assuring a safe working environment and compliance to all Versatile safety procedures, and assuring shipments leave on time and in an economical matter
  • Oversee ordering of Service Parts based on historical sales, and stocking recommendations & direct the procurement of common parts with production.
  • Manage the technical analyst team responsible for the dealer web based ordering entry system
  • Support and manage a group of up to 20 employees
  • Manage the inventory control system, and warehouse activities such as cycle counting
  • Proactively plan service kit requirements.
  • Produce performance reports such as on time shipments, fill rates and buyer
  • May perform the same duties as workers supervised




Job Requirements



  • PMAC/APICS education and/or a min. 5 years purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with MAPICS and AS400 systems with MRP experience is an asset
  • Several years experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to be strong yet professional when dealing with difficult suppliers
  • Experience in MS Word and Excel programs
  • Ability to extract information for parts and report on findings
