On behalf of our client in the Insurance Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Senior Project Manager - ITSM.

Senior Project Manager - ITSM – Job Description

  • Works closely with the project sponsor and delivery leader to develop the project charter, including defining the project scope, objectives, approach, measures of success, stakeholder engagement and communication plan.
  • Develops project delivery schedule, cost estimates, resource requirements, acquisition plan and capital expenditure plan where required.
  • Performs risk planning and analysis (qualitative & quantitative), including risk identification and risk response planning.
  • Executes, tracks and monitors progress to plan and communicates the appropriate project information to all relevant project team members and stakeholders.
  • Identifies, resolves or escalates all project issues.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of work to maximize quality, build credibility, and avoid re-work.
  • Meets deadlines for work through use of time management. Self-directs work through goal setting, time management, and planning.
  • Rapidly acquires new knowledge, learns new skills, and applies creative thinking to solve problems while understanding the organization’s vision, purpose and values.

Senior Project Manager - ITSM – Mandatory Skills

  • 10+ years as a Project Manager in an infrastructure delivery environment.
  • Experience with delivery of IT Service Management tooling/processes/automation projects (e.g. ServiceNow).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an ambiguous environment and to adapt to changes quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information and make good decisions or recommendations in ambiguous or difficult situations.
  • Customer centric approach to problem solving with the ability to collaborate, resolve conflicts, and reach consensus with others.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Strong financial management skills with knowledge or experience with capital acquisitions.
  • Experience in risk assessment and risk management techniques.
  • Experience in stakeholder relationship management across various business and I.T. areas.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams.
  • Experience in resource planning.
  • Experience with project management tools ie: MS Project Server.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT project methodologies, processes and practices.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment, facilitating and contributing to work across geographies and across other functional teams
  • Accreditation in Project Management such as Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or other industry recognized Project Management accreditation.
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate win-win outcomes among cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities under time pressure without compromising quality.
