Senior Manager, Digital Acquisition & Partnerships
Job Description

Job Summary

Reporting to the VP of Digital Banking, the Senior Manager of Digital Acquisition & Partnerships is responsible for driving new member acquisition across all products for Meridian’s digital member base, including motusbank. This entrepreneurial role will require exceptional digital, analytics, planning, communication, collaboration and people skills, in order to develop essential internal and external partnerships to drive sustainable growth across our digital acquisition channels. The role requires a “whatever it takes” mentality to ensuring digital acquisition targets are met or exceeded.

From an internal partnerships standpoint, this role will be responsible for working closely with Marketing, Contact Centre, Risk Management and others, to drive and co-ordinate integration of new partners, as well as tactics to increase application volume and conversions. Externally, this role is responsible for developing and managing partnerships that will drive new Member growth into our products and services. This includes referral programs, as well as fulfillment of our products on external platforms. In this capacity, the individual will also be responsible for developing long-term partnership strategy and road map at an individual partner level.

A key component of this role includes optimization of digital onboarding and lending platforms for both retail and small business.  We pride ourselves in offering an exceptional experience across platforms by reducing member friction and pain points.  Proactive and passionate focus on sales funnel analytics and member/contact centre feedback is necessary to prioritize strategic roadmap of these key digital platforms. 

This role will have two direct reports initially, with significant potential to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Product Management

  • Leading meetings and proactive communication to stakeholder groups responsible for tactic development and execution of agreed tactics. This includes Analytics, Marketing, Contact Centre and broader Digital Banking.
  • Digital Banking team lead for all marketing-led acquisition campaigns.
  • Development and socialization of motusbank Product and Pricing recommendations for executive approval.  

External Partnerships

  • Seeking, developing and managing external partnership opportunities that drive acquisition.
  • An “always on” approach to dealing with potential partnerships, helping development of motusbank brand as a great partner option in the industry.
  • Ownership of partnership and road map for lending platforms, with support from Digital Product Manager from execution standpoint. 

Analysis

  • Working closely with Analytics teams to provide sales funnel data requirements, and to optimize reporting of all acquisition components.
  • Leveraging digital sales funnel analytics and collaborative problem-solving to overcome friction points in sales funnels.
  • Hosting ongoing, cross-functional meetings that leverage data to review challenges, pain points and opportunities for sales optimization.

Digital Strategy

  • Working with VP, Digital Banking and peers to develop platform enhancement recommendations, including Contact Centre to ensure sales efficiency is at the forefront.

Process Optimization

  • Work closely with Contact Centre (sales operations) to ensure all tools and tactics are being leveraged to drive sales and ensure timely processing of applications.
  • Working with Contact Centre and other functional areas as needed to optimize efficiency of sales process, freeing up advisors to work more deals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of financial services products and service.
  • Experience in marketing, analytics and/or contact centre management an asset

Education, Designations, Training, and Experience

  • Proven excellence as a digital revenue leader with deep revenue ownership, consistent revenue achievement and accurate forecasting.
