About this Amazing Opportunity:

This is an amazing opportunity to continue to build your Learning and Development skills. The Senior Learning Partner Superstar will demonstrate expertise and leadership in learning consulting, instructional design, facilitation, and driving the right learning outcomes to meet business goals. This role will own the end-to-end learning development process, and deliver best in class learning solutions that are balanced based on budget, time, resources and/or project scope. Learning solutions at this level may be complex and involve a higher degree of collaboration with assigned project teams, vendors, and internal and external partners. This role will actively develop internal partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts. At Meridian we are very focused on relationship building so get ready to meet some amazing people!

Our new Superstar will continue to source new learning tools, keep abreast of learning trends, and continue to bring leading industry solutions. We are targeting bringing in some really cool technology and it will be great opportunity for you be involved in some amazing projects.

The Senior Learning Partner will work with the Senior Manager Learning and Development to manage learning solution requests. This partnership will enable you to perform at your best! Finally, as a senior member in Learning & Development, this role will also provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members. Our team loves feedback and we all work well together by helping each other grow.

What you’ll get to do:

Consulting & Project Management:

  • Project manage small learning projects, keeping track of tasks, timelines and an assigned budget.
  • Influence stakeholders without authority and often negotiate on learning deliverables.
  • Work closely with learning team, project teams, Employee Experience and other internal departments throughout the learning process to understand business priorities, needs, strategies, and recommend an appropriate solutions and metrics.
  • Develop a best-in-class learning solutions to address both project needs while keeping sight of organizational and strategic goals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and industry knowledge to better serve our internal client groups.

Analyze Learning Solutions:

  • Analyze the learning needs through a variety of approaches including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and review of extant data.

  • Partner with project members to ensure accuracy of analysis and validate identified gaps.

    Design & Develop Learning Solutions:

  • Design a best-in-class learning design that is grounded on an analysis and tied to various levels of measurements.

  • Act as an expert in instructional design and emerging delivery methods, continue to identify ways to deliver courses and consulting offerings that are both engaging and delivered in an efficient manner and drive the right learning outcomes

  • Provide mentoring to the Learning Consultant on developing learning solutions.

    Implement & Delivery Learning Solutions:

  • Facilitate face-to-face or virtual delivery – effectively engage learners using a variety of techniques and deliberately measure learning acquisition through a variety of approaches from informal to formal.

  • Provide mentoring to the Learning Consultant and Retail Trainer on delivering learning solutions.

    Learning Evaluation:

  • Assess learning including Level 1 (Reaction to the learning) and Level 2 (Learning acquisition).

  • Consistently ensure Level 3 (On the job transfer) is conducted and reported back to key stakeholders and employees.

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to identify Level 4 (Business impact), and track and communicate.

  • Conduct formative evaluations on existing training to improve and update the learning solution as required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strengthen and build new relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge and experience with using both Agile and ADDIE methodologies depending on the needs.

  • Demonstrated leadership in facilitation through face-to-face and online modes of learning.

  • Strong knowledge of software applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint – experience with webinar (WebEx and/or Adobe Connect), and rapid eLearning tools like Articulate Replay or Adobe Captivate.

  • Manage multiple projects with extensive detailed coordination and a high attention to detail.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, bilingual English & French is certainly an asset!

  • Financial services experience an asset.

  • Travel will be 20% to 30% interprovincial

    Education, Designations, Training and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, ideally with Meridian

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a training related role with instructional design and delivery experience.

  • Adult Learning Certificate or Degree – completed or equivalent professional experience

  • Post-secondary education
