Sales and Distribution Manager

Responsible for all aspects of the sales, customer service and supply chain functions for BC operations and supports Alberta sales and distribution. Areas of responsibility include sales forecasting, harvest production planning, distribution coordination, load/logistics planning, and completion of order desk functions. Provides sales support and manages industrial and local wholesale and food service customers.

You:

Comfortable managing daily orders, preparing and communicating daily production and sales forecasts;

Leads production planning with harvest departments at all farms;

Reviews customer orders and makes necessary changes for the packaging, harvesting and distribution departments;

Oversees the daily transportation and distribution requirements each day;

Oversees the shipping/fleet carriers for BC ensuring distribution runs at maximum efficiency and that shipping occurs in accordance with our customer requirements;

Communicates, directs, instructs, and dispatches company drivers as required to support the Customer Service Team;

Monitors transportation costs and resources to make recommendations for implementing cost reductions;

Develops and maintains key relations at the replenishment level with distributors and retailers;

Works closely with the Sales Team to ensure proper communication of customer issues, opportunities, changes to business, etc. and communicates with customers as required;

Manages assigned customers including acting as the voice of the customer internally and ensuring all customer needs are addressed in a timely manner;

Acts as a key account manager for the industrial sales segment and wholesale accounts;

Leads the coordination of harvest requirements to ensure they are aligned with packaging, distribution and sales objectives, while ensuring required results are achieved;

Ensures that quality audits are continuously being performed, and responds quickly when control limits are exceeded;

Excellence in Execution - drives near-term results and performance in British Columbia, providing support to efforts in Alberta;

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field;

Minimum of 5 years experience in transportation/logistics, distribution, sales and customer service experience, preferably in fresh produce;

Solid understanding of fresh food business operations and processes;

Ability to build trustworthy professional relationships at multiple levels throughout the organization;
