OfficeTeam is working with a client to place a charismatic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist with them. Provide customer service over the phone and in-person in this Medical Receptionist role as the director of first impressions. Major responsibilities

- Responding to inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner while efficiently answering phone calls within a minimum number of rings

- Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations

- Providing administrative assistance to patients

- Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage

- Updating various files and providing general office duties, e.g. faxing, data entry, scanning, etc.

- Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner

- Receiving patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries

- Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures

- Attending to the management of patient medical records

Requirements

- Incoming phone call management skills desired

- High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred

- This role requires you to have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist

- Knowledge of medical terminology

- Comprehensive knowledge of Receptionist Duties

- Proficiency with multi-line phone systems required
