We have an opening in our Quality department for a Quality Assurance Technician. This is a 6 month contract position. The successful candidate will work with staff within the organization, suppliers, customers and external auditors to implement and maintain the QA system. QA requirements are determined by the customer and may include ISO 9001, Nuclear, and Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to)


•         Development and revision of QA documents and forms.


•         Monitoring, creating and/or compiling QA records.


•         Contact suppliers to investigate non-conformance's.


•         Implementation of Corrective Actions to prevent recurrence of problems.

 Key Education/Experience Requirements:


•         Post-secondary diploma in a Quality Assurance Technician/Technician program is an asset


•         2 years’ working in a formal QA program with experience in document control is required


•         Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook and Excel) in required


•         Previous experience auditing is an asset


•         Dimension inspection ability using manual tools such as calipers and micrometer is an asset.
