Public Relations Director – Post Secondary Education and Government Specialty

Talentcor Professional is working with our client, a global company that is well established in the immigration and education and employment services market with more than 20 locations around the world is seeking a Public Relations Professional to assist them with company reputation building here in Canada. We are looking for a passionate individual who can help the company gain ground in the post secondary education sector working with government programs for international students and new immigrants seeking assistance to validate and update their current accreditation.

Job Responsibilities:

-Meet with representatives from schools (colleges and universities), attend meetings, understand educational policies and international student programs in various post-secondary schools

- Write a report for each meeting and activities based on the content of meetings

-Represent the company in the communities where the projects are taking place

-Travel as necessary across Ontario

-Knowledge of the Government rural and Northern pilot project is an asset

-Develop relationships across the education sector to stay informed and lobby to become a top provider/feeder in joint programs for international students

-Understanding of Education policy

-Knowledgeable of the process for immigration education from visa to study to recommendation letters to permanent residency

- 10+ years of experience in post-secondary education or government related work, and possess knowledge in international student programs is an asset

-Has flexibility, can travel and go on business trips
