Project Manager

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Project Manager for a 6 month contract in Winnipeg, MB.

Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Understand business objectives and strategies and the project’s business case
  • Create, execute and manage Project plans, including Scope, Resource, Schedule, Budget, Communication, Risk and Issue plans 
  • Create, document, and obtain approval for  Change Request, Decision Requests
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of project schedules
  • Manage and co-ordinate project resources and project activities allocated to the project work with the assistance of the Stream Leads
  • Provide validation against high level project estimates
  • Monitor and report project progress, status, and Financials
  • Identify and engage project stakeholders
  • Define, manage and execute stakeholder communication
  • Organize and oversee approval of quality  deliverables for acceptor/approver
  • Manage Vendor relationships through to operational hand-off
  • Prepare and manage contingency plan
  • Define system integration test plans and  implementation plans
  • Manage implementation for successful deployment of project products or services
  • Plan and manage transition to the operational handoff of project products or services
  • Complete project closeout activities 
  • Create and present a project approach 
  • Create a high level schedule
  • Establish project team and Stream Leads, including a data architect and an AES resource at the beginning of a project to ensure any new data elements are masked, or not masked, as needed
  • Present notice of Project Initiation to Stakeholders
  • Complete the Threat Assessment Questionnaire
  • Request Project (Target Release) to be setup in ALM
  • Monitor and report requirements progress
  • Create Project Plan 
  • Refine project schedule
  • Present Kick-Off Presentation to Project Team
  • Manage project schedule and participate in planning and re-planning 
  • Identify and resolve project issues/risks and escalate, if required 
  • Create System Integration Test Plans and the Implementation Plan
  • Assist BRM with the creating and presenting  Implementation Readiness to the BTO Steering Committee and the VP working Group
  • Identifies requirements for Transition to Operations
  • Complete Project Close Out Report
  • Participate in Lessons Learned Sessions

Project Manager Mandatory Skills

  • Agile knowledge, experience with P&C Products, and working with integrators/external vendors preferred.
